About me
Welcome. My name is Aubrey Phelps, and I am a holistic, registered nutritionist and certified perinatal corrective exercise specialist . It is my belief that so many of the health problems our society faces today could be prevented or improved by nutrition and exercise. I grew up eating family meals and playing year-round sports. Now, as a mother to an active little boy and feisty baby girl, I want to provide the same solid nutrition, family dinners, and active lifestyle.
My approach is to start from scratch. Homemade foods. Regular exercise. Let's throw out what we think we know about food and get back to basics. The amount of food and nutrition information out there is overwhelming. I want to help you get back to scratch and begin developing a new relationship with and understanding of food and nutrition and, more importantly, its impact on health.
For those who are not familiar with the dietetic education, it is quite rigorous. After finishing the dietetic coursework and my master's degree in Food and Nutrition, I completed a dietetic internship which encompassed 1200+ hours of clinical, community, school, foodservice, long-term care, and outpatient practice. Following the completion of my internship program, I sat for the registered dietitian nutritionist (RD/RDN) board exam.
To help get you jump-started on your relationship with food, I've got some fantastic recipes and nutritional wisdom for you right here. For nutritional or fitness consultations, workout plans and assistance - from general questions to specific desires and cooking needs - please contact me to set up a consultation.
